Derek Jeter had become a super-star player soon after joining the Yankees, earning the American League Rookie of the Year Award during his first full season with the team (1996). In 2000, after Jeter became the 1st Yankee All-Star MVP and the Yankees went on to earn their third consecutive World Series Championship, Jeter was named the World Series MVP to become the only player in history to win both the All-Star Game MVP Award and the World Series MVP Award in the same year. Jeter's hard style of play and team spirit earned him All-Star status (14X), 5 Gold Glove Awards and 5 World Series rings before his retirement in 2014 having set a new record formerly held by Mickey Mantle for most games played as a Yankee.
This is an attractive Nike, Dri-Fit long-sleeve undershirt presented to us as game worn by this Hall of Famer. Jeter’s uniform number “2” is embroidered on the back of the shirt just below the collar and the Yankee logo is screen printed on the chest. A Steiner numbered hologram appears on the MLB Authentic apparel label screen printed on the lower left tail. Size XL.
