In the show O'Hara plays Moira Rose, an eccentric former Soap Opera star and matriarch of the family. As Moira she earned five consecutive Canadian Screen Awards for Best Leading Actress in a Comedy Series and one Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
