This is a record setting hoist of a giant 43,000 pound air-conditioning unit being raised to the top of the 51st floor of the Union Carbide building in New York City in this 8 X 10 original black and white photograph captioned on verso from 1959. The Manhattan skyscape appears in the background including the famous Chrysler building off to the left. Such scenes have always provided a large attraction from the street below, but rarely does an individual have an opportunity to view from the vantage provided by this photograph. Very good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
