This is Tommy Bolin's studio used 1940 Rickenbacker Electro Lap Steel guitar that he played in the 1970's when he was with Zephyr recording "Back to Colorado." One of the first guitars that Tommy used when he was learning how to play was a Hawaiian lap steel guitar. Tommy talks about playing a lap steel guitar in the book "Touched by Magic: The Tommy Bolin Story" by Greg Prato. Measures 29.5" in length and the body measures 9.25 across. Sold as is. From the personal collection of Tommy's brother Johnnie Bolin, the steel guitar comes with a letter of provenance, a copy of "Touched by Magic" and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
