The Grateful Dead "Wake of the Flood" original 1973 promotional poster. Rick Griffin GD 50. This poster came from the Grateful Dead office and was the personal property of Laurence "Ram Rod" Shurtliff who was President of Grateful Dead Productions Inc. from 1976 until the year of Garcia's death, 1995. Shurtliff started with the Dead as their tour truck driver in 1967 and became their "head roadie" and equipment manager. In 1972 he was a co-producer of Garcia's solo album "Garcia". Shurtliff received his "Ram Rod" nickname from Beat Generation icon Neal Cassady. The poster measures approximately 23 x 17. In overall good condition with wear including some staining and water damage. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
