Rock and Roll icon and Doors front man Jim Morrison's 1962 hand-painted, signed and titled " The House of Bernarda Alba " original set design painting for the famed Federico García Lorca play. Painted by Morrison in watercolor, and signed and titled in Morrison's hand " The House of Bernarda Alba, Garcia Lorca, Jim". The painting measures approximately 11 x 16.5 (visible) and has been professionally matted and framed to measure 25.75 x 22. With a gold plaque on the bottom stating "Original Watercolor design Florida State University 1962 by Jim Morrison". Morrison transferred from St. Petersburg Junior College to Florida State University in 1962 (he subsequently transferred in 1964 to the University of California at Los Angeles where he received his undergraduate degree from the UCLA film school in 1965). Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
