Ron “Pigpen” McKernan of the Grateful Dead as photographed in 1970 at Avalon by the Bay by Rolling Stone magazine photographer Robert Altman plays the tambourine wearing a Fillmore East shirt in this 11 X 14 black and white photographed printed from his original negative. Altman has signed the front of the photograph “Robert Altman 2002” and has signed on the verso, titled “Pig Pen the Grateful Dead Avalon By the Bay, Feb 1970.” Very good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
