This stunning teal sequined blazer was worn by Susie Davis on stage with Prince during the "Purple Rain" Tour. The jacket is custom made for Davis and is approximately a size small. On 19-84 Prince and the Revolution performed at the Capital Centre in Washington DC. That night Prince asked Sheila E, two other members of her band Juan, Eddie and Susie Davis to join him on stage for his encore songs “I Would Die For You” and “Baby I’m a Star”. It was the second time Davis had performed with the Revolution on tour. On this night, Susie wore this very sparkly jacket that Sheila had had custom made for her. After the show Prince’s Manager, Steve Fargnoli came up to Davis and told her to please not to wear it anymore as all the sequins made it so glaringly bright that it distracted attention away from Prince. That was the last time that jacket was used on stage with Prince. Good condition. From the collection of Susie Davis.
