Offered here is one of Pele’s 1963-1966 Brazil National Team awau model jersey. Short sleeves with the yellow and green classic short sleeves model. ATHLETA branded pure cotton model with the number 10 sewn on the back in white thick cotton tissue. Handmade embroided Brazil CBD logo sewn on the chest, this model was used as away version from 1963 until 1969 when they changed this design to adopt a round neck model uniform. The shirt features underarm reinforcement with reinforced seams and a small pentagon of reinforcing fabric behind the collar, characteristics exclusive to match shirts.
The jersey comes from the collection of a teammate of Pele’s who played alongside him in Brazil from 1957-1966. The jersey comes with a signed letter of authenticity from the player that can be requested to be shown by any interested bidder. One of the rarer models of jerseys, we would classify this as a must-have jersey for any serious collector.
