Michael Jackson original Greg Hildebrandt fairly tale character movie costume concept #1 color composition. Mixed media on high quality art paper, this drawing was Commissioned By Michael Jackson, unframed, measuring 18 x 24. In the 1990’s Greg Hildebrandt was commissioned to work on the concept art for a film that would feature Michael Jackson as a classic fairy tale character. What followed was a number of concepts that featured Michael as a male version of a Cinderella type character. This is one of those concept sketches. Greg will do several versions of a painting’s concept before he makes a final choice. He experiments with positions, environments, lighting and color to get the most out his work. This is a beautiful part of his process, as you can see his energetic pencil strokes, his enthusiastic and obsessive fervor that gives the art power, force, and mood even at an earlier stage like this one.
