The Marquee Capital Auction Featuring Madonna
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2017
Madonna wore this 1940’s summer dress as her character Eva Peron in her 1996 film “Evita”. The white mid-length dress is decorated with gorgeous lavender, yellow, and green floral designs and has a soft pleated draped neck, inside pleat three-quarter sleeves with padded shoulders, asymmetrical skirt front with matching flounce, and zipper back. Madonna wore the dress onscreen during the musical number “Rainbow High” where Eva visits with Argentine peasants after her rise to power. Very good, screen worn condition. The dress is accompanied by photos from the film showing Madonna wearing the dress and a letter of authenticity from Palace Costumes signed by Melody Barnett.
