"Twist" original Greg Hildebrandt concept drawing for Trans-Siberian Orchestra Beethoven's Last Night." Pencil on paper, measures 15 x 18. This is "Twist". Twist (as in Twist of Fate) is the deformed son of the beautiful spirit, Fate. Together they visit Beethoven on the night in which he has completed his Tenth Symphony, his greatest work yet. Unfortunately, they do not come bearing good tidings. This piece is a concept piece for the illustrations that accompany the story “Beethoven’s Last Night,” a rock opera written by Paul O’Neill, who is best known for his creation of The Trans-Siberian orchestra. The original album was released in 2000, and the album was re-released in 2012 as a special edition with Greg Hildebrandt’s art on the cover and a booklet of illustrations that was packaged with the new album. This piece is part of the preliminary concepts that Greg created and discussed with Paul O’Neill to arrive at the finished paintings that have been published by TSO. Very good condition.
