A Madonna three-page handwritten cover letter for her resume that she wrote to Stephen Lewicki, a first-time filmmaker on the lookout for a female to play the lead in his erotic thriller, “A Certain Sacrifice”. Madonna got the part. The letter has three pages of Madonna's writing, two of the pages are written back-to back on one sheet of yellow lined paper, and then the third handwritten page is a separate yellow lined page. Madonna starts off writing "Dear Stephen, Please excuse the informal resume. I have been out for the country for several months and upon returning discovered many important papers misplaced. My resume is included." She goes out to write a detailed autobiography of herself starting with where she was born and raised, saying that when she was in fifth grade she thought she wanted to be either a nun or a movie star but 9 months spent in a convent cured her "of he first disease." She talks about becoming slightly schizophrenic in high school as she couldn't decide whether to be "the class virgin or the other kind." Madonna goes on for three pages writing a very personal autobiography. She included her resume with an 8 x 10 black and white photo of herself and an early 1979 original Kodak snapshot color photograph. Very good condition, the letter is handwritten in blue ballpoint pen on 8.5 x 11 yellow lined paper. Madonna's resume, and both photographs are included with the letter. Very good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
