This is the final concept sketch of Michael Jackson that was turned into a finished painting. This was to be use for the costume design for a movie that Michael was set to star in, where he would play a male version of a Cinderella type character. The dramatic colors and position really makes it seem like Michael is jumping right off the page and into action! Greg often submerses himself entirely into his work as if he is willing the art to come to life from the paper. In this final concept, one can see the precise pencil strokes for each shard of glass, the bold and powerful outlines around the figure, and the feverish marks of the colored pencil as Greg ardently pours his creativity into the concept in preparation for the final.
