From one of the basketball stars on the world famous Harlem Globetrotter basketball team, this is the colorful game worn basketball jersey worn by Dallas Thornton. A former star in the ABA (Miami Floridians) Thornton joined the Globetrotters in the early 1970’s and one was on the team members to appear in the 1981 movie, “The Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligan’s Island.” The jersey is accompanied by an actual Harlem Globetrotters game used basketball. This Official Baden basketball (with regulation size and weight) is unique in its design as it features a colorful map of the earth's "globe" instead of the usual orange and black colors. The Globetrotters, who began in 1926 in the Negro American Legion League under the name "Giles Post," started as a serious competitive basketball team. The team now famous worldwide for their basketball and entertainment skill was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002. Very good condition.
