For decades New York Yankee fans have been swooned by the voice of Frank Sinatra over the loudspeaker singing the “Theme from New York, New York” anthem that he originally recorded in 1979. Few would realize however that Sinatra was indeed an avid baseball fan as not only did he sing about it and appear in movies about it, but in the 1940’s he personally sponsored a softball team named the “Swooners,” to play “America’s Favorite Pastime,” with his celebrity cronies as teammates. As further evidence of his love for the game, this is a rare season box ticket stub for his very own chair at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles for a game played on June 10, 1976 against the Philadelphia Phillies. The 2 X 4 season box ticket is printed from the team with Frank Sinatra’s name in red type. A rare artifact for the ultimate baseball or Sinatra fan. Comes with an original photograph of Tommy Lasorda and Frank Sinatra that has been signed and inscribed by Lasorda. Very good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
