A Dinner & Dance programme from the White Hart Hotel, Acton, 21st October 1961, listing an appearance by The Mustangs. Pete Townshend played rhythm guitar for the band that evening, probably one of his earliest gigs. He also played with them earlier that day, at the Shepherd's Bush Cricket Club. The following year, the Mustangs and Pete's own group, the Detours, were both booked on the Bob Druce circuit and the White Hart became one of the Detours' regular venues. The Mustangs later became the Footprints and supported the Who at the Marquee for six weeks in November/December 1964. On a side note, Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey and Roger Entwistle all attended the Acton County Grammar School for Boys and Girls. Very good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
