A rare KISS 1973 concert poster for one of the band's earliest gigs which took place before their first album was released. This is a very important concert poster for KISS, as the show took place right in their backyard and before the band had a manager or record label. This poster covers a weekend at an 800-seat nightclub called Coventry in Long Island City, Queens. Something amazing about the poster is it was hand-drawn by band member Paul Stanley and then reproduced. This was to be the band's last shows before going in to record KISS, which barely cracked the Top 100 on Billboard's album chart the next spring. Their opening act was Wild Honey. Early concert posters for KISS are nearly extinct. The poster came from the Butterfield’s KISS auction in 2000 and you can match it by the stain on the top left. Famed guitarist John 5 (John William Lowery) obtained the poster at the Butterfield's auction and subsequently sold it to the current owner. Measures 13.25 x 17.5. Dry mounted on poster board with some light water damage, however could be taken off the poster board fairly easily. Comes with a letter of provenance and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
