Offered here is John Lennon’s personally owned and worn purple velour shirt. From the collection of the late Irwin Pate who passed away in May 2018. Irwin was a renowned booking agent and promotional manager for over four decades. He promoted talent all over the United States and Internationally and during his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. Irwin worked with John Lennon on several occasions and told Lennon about his collection of items he acquired over the years. Lennon gave away some items he no longer used to Pate, including this purple velour shirt. Very good vintage condition. Comes with a letter of authenticity from Irwin Pate's widow, Clarine Pate on the Pate company letterhead and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
