Jacqueline Kennedy owned and worn pale pink ecru nylon net and lace nightgown. The nightgown has a 7" lace stand-up collar embroidered with flowers, and a sheer net ruffle at the neck and sleeve cuffs. The nightgown is full length (approx. 58" long) and long sleeved, and has a front-closing bodice with three sets of three small buttons. The body of the gown is sheer netting over pale pink nylon, and the inside label reads "Dijon, New York". This nightgown was given by Jacqueline Kennedy to Mary Gallagher, who was her personal secretary from 1957 to 1964. The nightgown comes with a Los Angeles Times article that was syndicated internationally which features the piece. The nightgown is truly a representation of the elegance and beauty that was part and parcel of Jackie’s magic and mystique, during the time often referred to as the “Camelot” period. Please note: the nightgown has a small hole in the right sleeve netting, as well as on the back of the gown. This piece was previously sold in Hantman's Auctioneers "John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Memorabilia Collection" auction on July 19, 2003 and comes with an information card from the auction (as well as a the newspaper article mentioned above). Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
