A very rare purchase agreement between George Harrison and Frank Hessy Ltd. (The famous Liverpool instrument shop that sold John Lennon his first guitar) for a Truevoice Amplifier dated June 14th, 1960. George was 17 at the time and living with his parents, note his address at the top of the page is 25 Upton Green. This contract is dated only one month after the first performance of “The Silver Beetles.” Signed by George Harrison and witnessed by Hessy employee Jim Gretty on the front, in blue ballpoint pen. Signed on the back by George Harrison, a guarantor, and signed by Stuart Sutcliffe as a witness, noting his address as 3 Gambier Terrace, Liverpool, in blue ballpoint pen. Two page back to back, measuring 8.5 x 13.5. The signatures are in very good condition. The document has wear including some creases, a missing corner on the upper left, a few very small holes, and a 3" thin horizontal tear - none of which affect any of the signatures.
