New York Yankees shortstop Frank Crosetti played 17 years with the Yankees before becoming a Coach with them during an additional twenty seasons. During his expansive successful career Crosetti was a part of seventeen World Championship Yankee teams including two seasons in which he was named an All-Star (1946, 1939) and in 1938 leading the American League in stolen bases. Originating from his estate, offered here is Frank Crosetti’s game used fielding glove that he has also boldly signed on the outside thumb in black marker. The right-handed model glove is stamped “Patent No. 2231204 Canada – 398340 – 1941 Licensed under U.S. Pat. No. 2284920,” on the backside of the pinky finger. Crosetti’s uniform number “2” is faintly seen on the outside thumb near the bottom. Looking from the inside pocket, there is a small whole worn on the bottom of the ring finger. The overall condition shows fabulous use from his active position playing shortstop, for which he earned the nickname “Crow.” A rare opportunity to acquire such a vintage game used item from such a fabulous New York Yankee that Frank Crosetti was.
