Enrico Caruso 1910 signed and inscribed original black and white portrait photograph. Caruso inscribed the photograph to famed New York art dealer Louise Knoedler, "A Madame Louise Knoedler, Sincerement Enrico Caruso, New York 1910" in black fountain pen. Louise Knoedler, the doyenne of the New York City art world, was considered by some to be the most influential art dealer of her time. The platinum print is flush-mounted on board to measure 15.5 x 19.5, and is then framed to measure 28.25 x 1 x 34. The frame is a period antique frame with golden inlay, costing $2,500, that the owner purchased specially to display this incredible piece. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity. Provenance: Sale, Christie's, June 22, 2006, Rockefeller Center, New York City.
