Elvis Presley owned and worn 10kt gold diamond "lucky" horseshoe ring that has his name and year etched inside "Elvis '56". We believe it is very possible that Elvis wore this ring when he performed in Washington, D.C. on March 23, 1956, aboard the S.S. Mount Vernon. After the show, Elvis gave the ring to a female fan who had started crying when he tried to kiss her. When he saw how upset she was he apologized and gave her the ring. He said that he had just bought the ring with money he had gotten with his royalty check. This ring is an incredible example of Elvis Presley's style with jewelry, and the inscription of his name "Elvis" and the year "'56" makes the ring even more valuable, and links it to the date of the concert. Size 9. Very good condition. Comes with a letter of provenance from the person who purchased the ring from the son of the woman whom Elvis had given the ring and a print out of an article titled "Elvis on the Potomac" which describes the concert aboard the ship. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
