This is a Univox Echo Chamber EC-80A that Eddie Van Halen owned and used in the studio, most likely to record “Eruption”. The Univox Echo Chamber is most well-known for its association with Eddie Van Halen and his double tapping manifesto in “Eruption”. The Univox comes from Gregg Emerson, longtime drum tech for Alex Van Halen. Eddie Van Halen had given this Univox to Gregg Emerson as a gift. Greg Emerson then gave the Univox to his nephew Joshua Box, who then sold it to vintage guitar dealer Neal Shelton. A historic piece of Van Halen history. Good condition. Comes with a letter of provenance from Neal Shelton and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
