Maradona displayed football talent early, and at age eight he joined Las Cebollitas (“The Little Onions”), a boys' team that went on to win 136 consecutive games and a national championship. He signed with Argentinos Juniors at age 14 and made his first-division debut in 1976, 10 days before his 16th birthday. Maradona wore these boots during the iconic Argentina Evita Tournament in 1970 when Maradona was only 10 years old! Incredibly a photograph survives of 10-year-old Maradona wearing the shoes in a local newspaper. This is unquestionably the earliest known piece of match worn soccer gear of Maradona and really was the beginning of the career of one of, if not the greatest soccer player of all time. The shoes come from his old coach of the “Little Onions” team. The shoes show a tremendous amount of wear, have the Fulvence trademark. Made in Argentina, Size 35 (Kids). Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the former coach and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
