Legendary Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen has written this beautiful letter to a friend in vintage ballpoint pen on blue stationary. The letter reads, “Everyone encounters obstacles in their lives, some greater than others. Just believe in yourself and don’t let anyone convince you that you can’t do something. I hope that my playing music helps you believe that everything is possible. Take it from me – I know! All the best, Rick Allen” with Rick adding his signature self-portrait drawing while playing drums. A beautiful uplifting message that could hang on your wall and give you inspiration every day! The foundation was co-founded by Miriam Barendsen, Rick Allen's girlfriend throughout the 1980's, who was in the car with Rick when the tragic accident occurred resulting in the amputation of his arm. The funds raised by the Baladi Foundation are used in many ways to help the vulnerable Baladi animals in Egypt including: Purchasing of food, providing financial support for on-the-ground organizations and other volunteers, sterilization (spaying and neutering), veterinary care, adoption and fostering, awareness campaigns, field operations, animal ambulance service, relocation of animals to countries outside of Egypt.
