Brigham Young, a highly influential religious leader, politician, and settler, signed this page dated August 2, 1865, using a black steel-tip fountain pen. Young was the second President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 1847 to his death in 1877 and was nicknamed “American Moses” for leading his followers through American deserts and founding Salt Lake City in Utah. He also led his followers in the Utah War, in which he initiated armed conflict against the United States. Young is considered one of the most influential Mormons, and led the foundations of what would become University of Utah and Brigham Young University. He is also the great-great-great Grandfather of NFL Hall of Fame Quarterback Steve Young. Good condition. Measures 8” x 10”. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Letter of Authenticity.
