Van Halen drummer Alex Van Halen has used this Ludwig Bass Snare Drum in both concert and in studio. The drum comes from Gregg Emerson, longtime drum tech for Alex Van Halen. Alex Van Halen had given this drum to Gregg Emerson as a gift. Greg Emerson then gave the drum to his nephew Joshua Box, who then sold it to vintage guitar dealer Neal Shelton. An unbelievable piece of Van Halen history as owning a drum used on stage and in the studio by Alex Van Halen is near impossible to find. Good condition. Comes with a letter of provenance from Neal Shelton and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
